Because cooking plays a major role in our lives today, we wanted to satisfy all budding chefs by designing a collection that would make perfect sense on your worktop. To come up with this product, we surrounded ourselves with local chefs and gourmet friends, and we racked our brains over the product that would suit everyone. Each of the product's details has been carefully studied in order to combine elegance with utility.
For the harmony to be perfect, we wanted a culinary collection that wouldn't make you blush once on the stove. So the first point was the design. It had to be modern and sober to be proud of, while remaining practical and functional to reveal the best aromas of your culinary preparations.
To do this, we used noble materials, we chose to use thick forged aluminum to obtain a lightweight product with perfectly even cooking. This may not mean anything to you, but it is a long-term guarantee.
To this we have combined a handle made of raw, natural oak wood, without any surface treatment, for an authentic grip and a devastating look. The quality of the wood makes for a strong and naturally durable handle, without any special maintenance required.
We made the crazy bet of bringing a natural touch with oak wood as a handle. It is a wood that does not require any treatment harmful to health and is known to last over time. Fixed high enough on the tank, the wood will perfectly insulate you from the heat of the tank and the fire to avoid burns. In terms of style, the choice of wood allows us to offer you unique items since each shade of wood is unique.
Thanks to its technical characteristics, the 3 to 4.5mm forged aluminum tank provides remarkable heat diffusion quality. It is the entire tank that heats up and not just its center as on most first-price cooking utensils. This even distribution of heat allows you to precisely control the perfect cooking of meat in the pans, and to precisely control your sauce in the saucepans.
We have chosen to go for a coating with an optimal non-stick effect (PTFE-free and PFOA-free): ceramic! The Whitford Fusion ceramic coating is known for its excellent non-stick properties and for its very robust surface technology. Ideal for recurring use!
Because we know that the more complicated a product is to maintain, the less we want to use it, we understand that wood can scare more than one person. It is obviously not recommended to put the Ector collection in the dishwasher because of its handles, but especially because of the non-stick coating, but this is valid for all cooking utensils on the market! A non-stick coating deteriorates significantly from its first use in the machine! Based on this observation, oak, a very hard and non-porous wood (Natural durability class 2) no longer seemed to be a hindrance to us. As always, we favor products made to last over time and for that, nothing beats a sponge on the tank and the handle with lukewarm water after use.
