For the infusion temperature, do not stress, borosilicate glass supports high heat and temperature changes ( learn more ). Widely used in the food industry, this material is healthy since it does not retain any odor and does not stain.
The OCTAVE coffee maker is made up of a strong and dense filter, this allows it to easily press the coffee while letting the aromas pass through and not the grind.
For the material, we chose 304 stainless steel, it may not mean anything to you, but it is a long-term guarantee. In addition to being resistant to heat and corrosion, stainless steel is full of qualities: it is hostile to the proliferation of bacteria, easy to maintain and durable over time.
Start by adding 30-50 grams of coarsely ground coffee to the pot. Then add just 15cl of boiling water and let it sit for 30 seconds, this process is called 'blossoming' and allows the coffee to degas producing a more flavourful brew. Add the remaining water, stir and let it steep for 3 minutes. Press slowly, keep the filter in place and enjoy!
